I was going to take out the ducted fan and put a 14lb turbine in mine but as I got started to do the retro, I found most of the wood was fuel soaked and some of the glass in the bottom of the fuse was soft. I was really disappointed.
It flew great. It is a delta so you have to keep the speed up in the turns and keep the nose from dropping. Landings were typically high alpha under power. I did reinforce the bottom of the fuse under the tail with several layers of 6 oz glass because it would drag sometimes on landing. It is not as stable as the Eurosport/Eurofighter and it will do some wing walking due to its narrower wingspan. Other than that, it really presents/flys well if you keep it light.

Sorry, the airframe was really not salvageable. After flying it at 6 to 8 events each year for almost 14 years, it had a lot of flights on it (600+). It was one of my more enjoyable DF models.
