Building a loaded RX voltmeter

Hi,

I have all kinds of leads and a couple of very good little digital multimeters. I am certain I can rig up a voltmeter for checking my RX batteries at the field.

My question is how much load is required to get a decent reading? How many Ohm resistor do I need to wire up between the test leads?
