Hey guys,

I bought and built a Great planes Clipped wing Taylor craft, great plane.
It is my first r/c plane and is a bit hot for a beginner I think. I have yet to fly it, but have been thinking of trying to on the local lake while it is still frozen. Even have skiis for it.

But today I was given a Falcon 56 wing kit. Comes with everything except the stab, rudder and fuse sides. All of which I can build/make fairly easy, (cept maybe the stab.)
Will take me awhile to built it and won't have it done by the time the snow comes.

Anyways here is my question, iWill the Falcon really be that much better for a first time plane??

I also have a Coverite peashooter to build and fly.

The Falcon was a very good second plane in its day and I would probably rate it as an easier plane to fly than the T-craft........
Either way ,you are going to get help arent you? If you dont it doesnt matter which model you try because you are going to crash it.

Keven is correct. Find yourself a club if you haven't already and talk to an insturctor.

Trainer kit prices are really good these days and fairly easy to build. I would suggest as would any instructor, that you would be much better off starting with a trainer type plane.

A Goldberg Eagle 2 is an excellent choice and is an easy build for a first plane. An good 40 size engine and standard radio gear is all you need to get started. Learn to fly on a trainer, with an instructor, and you will enjoy the transition to the Taylor Craft or the Falcon 56 so much more!

hi guys, I had a falcon 56 many years ago, and it was one of my favourite planes , it flew beautifully, easy to handle, easy to land, but it was very capable of alot of aerobatic moves. almost anything you wanted it to do, it could do it. in my opinion, you really cant go wrong with the falcon, good luck with it, ..........Joey...........
