Giant Aeromaster or other.....

I have recently purchased RealFlight G2. I have been flying the Giant Aeromaster in the sim quite a lot and have fallen in love with this plane. I have searched and found that this model is no longer available. So my question is what other planes out there are very similar in performance to this model that I can still get? I like the idea of going to a larger plane with a gas engine for this project.

If you happen to have a used model in good condition of the Giant Aeromaster I would be interested in talking to you.

Ted, if you like Bipes similar (I would think, anyhow mind you the Aeromaster is not a 3D machine, ie, traditionally sized control surfaces) how about the Sig ARF "Sun Dancer" and a 50cc gasser? The Midewest Super STinker kit, and one of the newer lightweight 40cc engines should be an excellent combo. On the smaller scale, the new Aeromaster ARF from Great Planes looks nice, and Goldberg has the larger Ultimate ARF for 60 to 70cc power...

Balsa USA has the Sopwith Pup that my friend in the USA reviewed in RCM last year, flew it with a G26 I think and liked it a lot. They also have a larger 1/3 scale version for 45cc and up. They also have a Neiuport and SE5 that are for 25cc power (gasser).

Just some suggestions

Thanks for the replies guys. I am going to have to stick to an arf or something already built as my wife is due in just over 2 weeks and I now have 3 jobs. My "free time" is in very short supply. I have never flown an Ultimate but I think it is a little hotter than what I'm looking for, I liked the way the Aeromaster flies in the sim because it seems to be fairly forgiving and not very aggressive. From what I know about the Ultimate it can be quite aggressive, not sure how it is when the rates are turned down. I do like the lines of the Ultimate. I also like the Sundancer. Thats seems to be what I'm looking for so I will have to take a closer look at it in the store. One of my 3 jobs is working for Hobby Hobby. So I might have to bring a Sundancer in just for me to look at as long as Tom the owner agrees. This is likely going to be one of the best summers I have ever had in this hobby as working in the store gives me the inside line so to speak.

I have a Lanier Ultimate Pitts that needs some work. The wingspan is 60". It has a Ryobi 31cc that I bought a couple of months ago from The Best Engines. Anyway, the engine is mounted, the fuel lines and tank are in but like I said it needs some work. If you're interested, it's yours for $250.00 with the engine (I lost interest in it). Email me and I can send you photos.

Thanks,

Dave
