124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition - BBT

Time to start this Fall's big project
.
.
.
Brent Bullen asked me to build him a 124" Carden PRO w/ DA200 on cans for his 2013 IMAC season.

For those that don't know Brent, he just qualified and will be attending the Tucson Shoot-Out this year with Wingburner's 43% Extra300!!! --- Hopefully his 2013 season will be even more successful with this 124" Carden PRO

The big difference with this build will be significant amount of carbon fiber in the fuse ... I'll be following the same design as was used on my 43% Carden Edge which has held up extremely well and is noticeably stiffer than a stock fuse

I'll start digging into the beautiful wood tomorrow night

Re: BBT 124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition

Thanks Mike!!

I'd love to ship this project out west to Brent in February if all goes well, so I'll be putting this into high-gear soon, especially with all the CF work coming up!!!

Re: BBT 124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition

Oh, that's just great! Thanks a lot Trevor! It has been hard enough trying to keep up with Brent the last couple of years but now there will be nothing holding him back. So, how much is it going to cost me to have you build the right side of the fuse .75 inches longer than the left side? I'll even throw in some extra if one wing ends up with wash-out and the other with wash-in.... PM coming.

Excellent! LOL

Of course I'm just kidding since Brent is a great guy and a very good pilot. He already has some very interesting airplanes and this new Carden will really be the icing on the cake. Hmm, maybe I can talk him into selling me Wingburners old plane.....

Really looking forward to watching this build as I might have to build one for myself now! LOL
(Anybody want to buy a 40% Lanier Edge??)

Re: 124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition - BBT

Trev,
I went back and looked at the motor box photos. I saw the picture of the removed wood, and then the finished product.

Do you have a before and after picture of the motor box pieces?
