Re: How to NOT surprise the wife
she should be happy it's not on the kitchen table ...... my dad always brings his skidoo carbs, chainsaws & whatever in the house and works on em right on the kitchen table when it's too cold out
and he can't seem to figure out why she gets upset usually my mom's not home (he's retired she's still working)

Re: How to NOT surprise the wife
well. lol.. lets see she said the sealant was stank. i should do this outside. yes i can move the cabinet into the garage instead only for the winter. felt under the chair a must. don't ruin the floor, table, walls etc. Shes a good sport. Planning to build her a crawler. hah.. your dad has it figured out! |

Re: How to NOT surprise the wife
I guess the only solution to come out alive when do something like this is to give the wife your credit card and have her buy any new table she wants.

Re: How to NOT surprise the wife
LOL I'd get castrated if I set up shop in the dining room.
I keep my cars, batteries and radio in the rec/entertainment room in the basement and the rest of my gear in the garage when it's cold. when I need to work on something, I bring in what I need from the garage and use my coffee table as the work bench. I have a 6ft table in the same room that I use as my computer work bench but i've been slowly clearing it off to make it the new work bench for my rc cars. If I dont feel like working on it at home and want to give it a good test run, I'll bring everything to the track and work on it there. I built my buggy at the track and it was handy because I purchased some upgrades and odds and ends that I needed while I was building it. |

Re: How to NOT surprise the wife
Moved the drill press and the saw into the dining room today.
I thought I could get away with it but the table (fold out) in there just cant hack the saw. Too cold outside.. but i did get some work done today https://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/show....php?p=1308060 |
