Re: 2013 Unlimited

There is no way the bottom of that loop will remain round with that many things to do in such a short space. Can you say OVAL!!

I'm glad I am way below unlimited.

I bet they do just fine. Doesn't have to be a short space.

They say trees are 90% air. Personally I think they are 100% tree.

Re: 2013 Unlimited

Mike:

I am sure it will be for unlimited pilots.

I am going to give Intermediate a shot next season. I did practice it a lot last year but made ended up flying sportsman when the time came. One of my biggest issues was the 4 of 8 roll.

Your advice (if I could tap into it), on a 4 of 8, what corrections, if any, do you make on the first and third segments (45 degree, knife-edge) for lack of a better description?

Re: 2013 Unlimited

Well that's a weirdo sequence! Figure 1 and figure 4 ... don't even know what they are called... I don't think they are covered by the current edition of the rules... (well I think we can guess at the rules for Figure 1, but Figure 4 leads to a couple questions! In the current edition of the rules, 7.5.xxx were full loops I think and I don't think there was any mention of 8.8.xxxx, so I guess there will be some changes there...

No outside rollers eh? That's a set up for interesting unknowns

I haven't tried it yet, but I would guess that #8 is this year's edition of the figure that looks easy but isn't

Ah! I wish I had a plane with me right now!!!

Haha, never say oval when you can say 'giant, GIANT, circle' . Kidding aside, it will definitely be a figure to practice!
