Just talked with Barry and the swap meet is still a go, in spite of the weather that we'd all had over the lst 36 hours or so.

I'm planning to get out there tomorrow but not sure if I can be there for the full time -- there's a foot and a half and then some of snow in the driveway and side yard (lots my tocque today whiule at the doctor's office.)

It will all depend on the overnight weather, snow levels and the highways -- any of which could veto the day for me.

Tomorrow is the day! Hope the snow eases up and doesn't impact attendance. The weather shouldn't impact fellows coming if they are a 'true Canadian' and can drive through anything.

Talked to a fellow club member and he's a vendor -- he'll be out tomorrow.

I'll be playing it safe and check the roads before I head out.

Sad to say, I think that I'm going to have to give this a miss.

An hour and a half of whacking away with the snowblower (electric snow-barfer) and I'm about one-third of the way though the driveway plus I have to get my wife's insulin (something that I cannot let slide since we couldn't get there yesterday)... Plus the higway conditions map shows all major roads are classed by theMOT as "icy" (http://www.ontarioweather.com/winter...io/central.asp)

yea..yea... yea... I know, excuses, excuses. However, excuses for going don't outweigh the two-hour trip (each way...)

Good luck for the day to the vendors, may you have piles of locals who show up.

Anyone know of another swap meet closer to the GTA on a Saturday?
