blade cx flyers

Hi
Wondering about others flying the blade cx. Has anyone tried to change the positions of the pushrods on the control arms of the servos? Lots of room to move them and have greater throw. Does it cause the blades to bind or does it give a little more movement?
Interested in any comments.

I would be interested to know the answer to that too. These are great helicopters for beginners like myself, but I seem to have to trim it everytime before I use it. Also I have to always have the elevator trim all the way up or it flys backwards. I also have to constantly adjust the pots.

Other than these inconvieniences, I love the helicopter.

Cheers

I've heard that by cutting a hole in the body by the rx the model will not go out of trim. What happens is the ESC heats up causing the rudder to go out of trim more and more during the flight. This tip was given to me by Al Eastman. I think putting more throw to the swashplate may cause the upper and lower blades to contact eachother. It's already pretty close when you give quick, full stick movements!

blade cx

There are a couple good threads at wattflyer where they discuss possiblities with the cx. The heat sink is also supposed to prevent the esc overheating and stopping the constant trim adjustment.
I have also read that if you change the linkage on the servo arm, you have to shorten the flybar.
There is a cool post about a guy removing the plastic tail and fabricating one that looks like a blade cp by taking an arrow shaft and cutting it to size. If you look around, there are some intersting things being done with the blade cx.

Its good to have some options and things to try with this great little flyer.

I don't think cutting a hole will help me as I am running the helicopter with the cowling off.

thanks for the suggestion though

Hi,
Try this, turn on the transmitter, push the rudder trim all the way to the left, turn on the cx,wait till green light is steady, push the rudder trim all the way to the right, fly.
I do this for every flight and it really helps.
