Re: MPX Fun Cub scale fpv build

well ... it is kind of boring. compared to a Minion! or a small wing or aerobat

But also, easy relaxing and a lot more potential for real long flights, carry more cameras, big batteries and stand up to wind. Actually I was flying a 2700mah battery and I bet I could get up to 30min. Might try 4000mah now. A fun flyer, OK in wind, and good long range potential too. I kind of consider this a similar plane to a Skywalker, Penguin, just lighter and tractor power. But Multiplex is a better engineered kit than those makers.

Re: MPX Fun Cub scale fpv build

With a Stuka, you're going to do a nice scale cockpit with pan and moving throttle and stick. So a whole different experience, different capability. Like fighting the invasion of Poland all over again!

But generally these warbird fighters (OK Stuka is a bomber in a fighter airframe) are not precision for doing aerobatics, have high wingloading so can be a little sketchy, are very fragile (esp the gear!) and 'want to be flown scale.'

I would love to see a scale cockpit fpv video of a Stuka!

Re: MPX Fun Cub scale fpv build

I love the tail camera video. The plane definitely looks like a perfect FPV platform. Flights looked very smooth.

And yeah, I want to see a Stuka FPV plane too! At least it will have better landing gear than scale models with retracts.

yeah I never had those dropouts. They didn't appear on the DVR raw recording either. They just appear at each edit I made - the video editor put them in there. I guess it doesn't like the codec that the new Foxtech DVR uses to compress the video, as my other DVR doesn't do that (JAPAN FPV DVR).

I might have to use my video convertor to make it into a editor-friendly video. I had to do it with the old DVR too because my editor would not recognize the audio track until I converted it. Oh the travails of making airplane videos.
