Does the rear end feel notchy?

Make sure that your pinion is seated all the way against the bearing... You may have to sand some material from the plastic spacer to ( shim ) the diff a little bit... Depending if it is too loose or tight remove only a slight amount of material in a figure 8 motion on the plastic spacer.

I only had to do this once and the gears were a little notchy still but after a little fuel through the car and they were like butter.

If the ring and pinion are brand new and you put them in properly, chances are your drivetrain just needs to break-in. Mine was the same way until a tank or two.

To reiterate was Ben has said... It probably is the same issue... If everything is installed correctly follow the instructions to break in the diff.

I've been told it takes about a gallon of fuel to properly break in the drivetrains, Mine were the same way, I left them alone and after a couple of runs they were super smooth!!
