X-Cell 60

I picked up a X-Cell 60 kit and motor from a member here this past summer and am finally getting around to putting it together. I had one of these about 23-24 years ago and they were one of the biggest and best things going at the time. I have the rotor head and the frame assembled so far. Sure seems small compared to my 800 class gassers LOL.

Re: X-Cell 60

I too remember how amazing these helis were. Absolutely top notch for their time. And if you could afford the Fiberglass blades....well, that was the cat's meow!

How does it feel to be building what is now a relic? Does it make you feel 25 years younger?

Re: X-Cell 60

I find it funny that I thought the bearings were so tiny in the X-Cell, but my gassers have even smaller bearings in them.

I just remember it being such a nice, smooth flying helicopter that I had to get it.

Re: X-Cell 60

Hi Dave, any other brand work, I have tons of stuff off different brands, maybe Hirobo, Century, Thundertiger, Align, Alees, Outrage, or Gaui? Do a search and let me know.

Re: X-Cell 60

Ya, I have some leftovers laying around, I just have to dig around to find the right size. I'm sure I have one around here somewhere.

I've been procrastinating on doing the clutch alignment LOL.
