Hi

I find that a little heat from a soudering iron ( after you screw it in ) helps a lot , it stops the wood frm splitting .

Especially since it sounds like they may have been epoxied in because I ussaly find that blind nuts that have not will fall out on there own while remving the bolt.

Ryan, the suggestions of using a bolt screwed into the t-nut and then rapped with a hammer is definitely a good item.

THe obvious problem is how well is the t-nut glued into the firewall and how much was slobbered over the nut.

I'd also like to ask if the new holes for mounting the motor are anywhere near the original holes? If nowhere near, the just forget about them.

A suggestion that just occurred might be to make a stand-off box. the back side of the box willl have holes that align with the old t-nuts, while the front side of the box will have the t-nuts that match the pattern needed for your motor.

The only trick will be that the backwall gets attached first, then the front wall gets glued to the backwall (sides are glued to one or the other piece.)
