I recently picked up a GoldBerg Ultimate Biplane, came with a ys 120ac and a Futaba 7uafsuper, this plane needed a little work, and I installed my Airtronics rds 8000 2.4 receiver.
Now I find myself with an extra radio system, looks like it will need a new tx battery, not a big deal.
My Old Vanguard VG6DR is installed in my Tango.
So I am thinking of swapping in the Futaba system in place of the VG6DR.

Who has some thoughts on this.

Here's what I see.
+Futaba is newer
+Futaba has more features.
+Futaba has 4 model memory.
-Futaba needs battery.
-Futaba has a broken toggle switch.

+VG6DR has worked flawlessly for 25+ yrs.
-VG6DR 1 model.

Does the RDS have a model memory? I'd be investing in another 2.4 rx instead of a ne tx battery. You can always use the 2.4 rx's later on when you eventually buy a new sd-10g. =)
