Re: Blue Foamie
Hi guys
Regarding the recommended motor 2204-14 From the HK website this "may be " equivalent to an AXI 2204-54 "This is similar to the AXi 2203/52 or 2204/54" I have a an AXI 2204-54 which I used to fly in a Icarus Shocky clone ( remember those - how long ago was that!) Just curious what full throttle RPMs you guys are getting from the HK 2204-14? Thanks,

Re: Blue Foamie
Hi Bob
The specs on both motors are almost the same, they are both recommended for foamies of the same weight, either one will work fine. The Axi is without any doubt is of higher quality but here comes the big difference, the Turnigy is under $10.00 and the Axi is almost $85.00. If I had an Axi on hand, I would certainly use it.

Re: Blue Foamie
Hey guys.... agree totally with you Gaston. Axi's nice, but this one's a poor man's alternative
For what it's worth, I have a home made plane here that's AUW is 146 g (2S 450 mah 25C Gens Ace included), uses a Great Planes 8x3.5 prop and has power to spare! You can see/hear it in my latest video of our indoor here: http://youtu.be/Qkka5NLlmeM?t=1m19s It's made of $ store foam with 95% of the paper removed (left the nose with paper for strength). Flies nice, needs airbrakes still . Anyway... back to the topic - the T2204 is a great little motor for the cost. I bought 3 from HK and all three have performed well and seem to be built well. Cheers, J

Re: Blue Foamie
Hi Jason
I've been using the Turnigy 2204-14 for many years and the only one that failed was Kent's when his wife ran over his foamy with the Honda. I replaced the shaft but it never worked the same, thank God Kent wasn't holding the foamy when it happened.

Re: Blue Foamie
Hi Hank
You're right but I think the difference is only 6 grams, the HK is 19 grams and the Axi is a little over 25 grams. It's certainly a good point, considering that people are using CA instead of hot glue for a couple grams difference, it all counts. Showing off again hey Hank but you deserve a hand of applause, nice video.

Hi Hank
We just arrived in Toledo, I'm staying at the Day's Inn on Miami St Room 272 Maybe we can meet at the Spaghetti Factory around noon tomorrow. You'll see a built up Axis at the MPF booth tomorrow.
