From what I heard the 5th scale class is going to be supported by HPI and that there will be a significant number of racers from south of the border making the trip up for these races. But that is what I have heard, whether it happens or not is yet to be seen. The Slash class is an excellent idea for a entry level class allowing younger racers get involved without the intimidation of jumping straight into these land missiles we run.

The only problem I see is that adding these 2 classes (as well as electric 8th?) will add to an already long race day. I think we may be getting into to much too fast. Either way if we all work together me may be able to pull this off.

..

more info for n e one who is interested on rchobbies.ca

apperntly 5th scale is going to be run at the same time as everything else and they are still going to marshall them selves because im guessing there are banking on a HUGE!!! turnout. so looks for n e body that runs n e thing other then a 5th scale will not be running it as a second class because it can quite possibly that u would have to be running your buggy abd baja at that same time.

another idea could be split up the buggy into sportsman and expert.
this will be great for those who are always in the F they now can be in the A sportsman. this also is great for heats. if u have 2 bad rounds ur not stuck with the z main resort which at the end of the day put people where they should more or less be.

Well Jordan,I think that it should be its own class, run on its own track as well.It should be broken down into 2 classes, novice quad racer and expert. But the big question should be do we run the lipo/brushless conversions in an e-quad racer class?

Sorry guys, just funnin here!I am looking forward to running as many GLORCS races as I can this summer and whatever you guys decide to run through out the weekend is fine by me.

dash.........num num aluminum

on a serious note i agree with many here that introducing more racing classes will lengthen race days and end up in less track time for everybody (i do like the idea of a sportsman class in 1/

re

People will volunteer to marshall the 1/5 scale. IMO. They will do it out of a sense of machismo and pride. The male ego being what it is. Like the enthusiast who waits with rope in hand on a impossible hill climb to snare the errant biker from his tumble to the bottom!!!
