Thanks for the input guys, the reason I asked about aluminium servo horns is because I have a few left over from the cars I use to race and was wondering if I should put them on or not. I think I'll just stay with plastic to avoid any potential radio interferance from the metal to metal contact. I do have a couple Hitec 5625 digital servos kicking around as well, and I have to ask where would be the best place for them (rudder, elev? or ail's?)

Shawn.......the best place for the most heavy duty servos is to use them on the ailerons and/or rudder.

I have always thought that the rudder should have the best servo used there but I was surprised when I read the instructions for my DP Edge 540 that Patrick says one should use the best servos you can afford in this priority: 1) Ailerons 2) Rudder 3) Elevators and 4) Throttle.

I was also surprised to find that you should always use a good servo on the throttle (not just any old cheepie standard servo ). I used one of Hitec's new Standard Digital Servos on the throttle and boy what a difference it makes in the precision and fine tuning of the throttle!

Ditto on pretty much everything here. The only thing I would add is to use metal clevis' vs the plastic ones; especially if you will be flying it in really cold weather. I personally wouldn't trust the small plastic pin in the cold on my surfaces (especially the elevator).

The twist flies fine with standard BB servos. But if you're gonna put a big engine and fly it balistic, just make sure you know what load is required.

Save them for another plane! Again this is a small plane. 120oz plus is overkill on here but if you really want to use them then tha ailerons are the bigest surface on this aircraft.
