Man, the 'big Boomer XL' is BIG!!!

Here's a photo of Steve Nielsen's new Boomer XL. I'm installing the push-rods and setting up the radio tonight. For those not familiar with this kit, that's my 85lb golden retriever providing the scale reference!

We're just awaiting delivery of a nose strut shortly and we'll be ready for the maiden in another week or two, just enough time to get his feet wet on it and turbine certified for Whidbey!

Overall, nice plane. I'm impressed with the kit quality. It should fly quite nicely from all I've heard. He's got a PST 1300R installed.

The kits are produced by Boomerang Jets in the UK. I believe the kits are actually made in China though.

The local importer is in the US, also listed in the above link...

As big as it is, it breaks down to fit into the back seat of a full sized 4 door pickup truck!!...Ron

I am on channel 16 and it would be neat to see four in the air at the same time. I can keep track of mine with a smoke trail if they all have the same color scheme. See everyone at Princeton.
