Everything maidened today was new.The 14mz on 2.4. and the 2.1m Yak 55 along with a new DA 50....All i can say is WOW...75 paces with the radio gear and not a quiver DA 50 started on very first flip

The little Yak 55 is an absolute awesome plane ...After owning 3 Yak 54s and having the Comp-Arf 2.6m Yak and now the 2.1m, i must say i believe the Yak 55 is a better plane

The 2.4 system is absolutely awesome...Gonna have to learn how to fly again because the responce seems to instantaneous compared to 72...Dang i'm going to have to buy more receivers

Jack,

Do you mean they were too late in bringing it out our not the features you were expecting?

I saw the 12x at Toledo and it felt like the weight of my old 9 ZAP. After flying the DX7 all last summer and the 9303 2.4 all this winter I don't think I would want to go back to a heavier radio but we'll see once they hit the market.

hahahaha buddy, you're just jealous cause you gotta wear your sunglasses when you look under the hood on my planes :P

Weekend is supposed to be 18 degrees ..Hope we can get some flyin' in bud.

Jim,

I feel if the 12X is going to be their flagship radio, they missed miserably It's 2008 and i really think they could've done alot better.

As far as the weight, i don't mind..The neck strap holds most of the weight anyway.

So what features were you looking for that they missed? I take it you are flying the 14MZ and like all the Windows stuff?

I work for a Swiss Parking Equipment Company and we had to put up with this sorta stuff for years.. The Japaneese competittors had all this Windows fancy shmancy stuff that made the equipement operator all warm and fuzzy unfortunately their customers that had to deal with the hardware didn't feel the same way.... stuff always breaking down.

My Swiss comapany had typical European Utilitarian software, text bassed, that the operator had to read through but their customers suffered NO hardware issues at the user end. The Swiss felt it was more important to have operrational equipment first then wory about the a warm and fuzzy stuff later. The eventually caved and went with warm and fuzy Windows bassed GUI software and it has been hell since. lane equipment still dependable but M$ Software.... NOT!
