Well, here is another plane just about ready to maiden. I aquired this Bipe from Flyboy76 who aquired it from Wayne22. The plane was in dire need of a makeover and a fair bit of TLC.

Geoff (Flyboy76) had some of the covering removed when I got it from him and he said that it was a real PITA to remove and boy was he right!!! The film would come off and leave all the gummy pigment still stuck to the balsa. Well after a lot of solvent wiping, sanding, elbow grease and some cursing, I finally got it all off.

By this time, I still had my AgWagon to finish and my brother Travis (thuebner) was looking for another covering project. So off to his place the plane went delivered by Greg (Wingman)! I picked the colors and Travis did up the covering scheme and designed and cut all the decals from covering material.

I think the end result turned out pretty dang good considering that we were not sure if the airframe was salvageable or not. There was quite a few fuel/oil soaked areas that had to be cleaned about 20 times just to get the covering to stick. We almost gave up and started from a new kit.

It is powered by a new Magnum .91 XLS 2st, has Hitec 475BB servos and a Futaba RX and to start with a 13x8 Zinger Pro wooden prop.

If she flies half as good as it looks then....YYYYEEEEHHHAAAAWWWW

Cheers
Curt

Thumbs up Re: Sig "HOG-WILD Hog Bipe

She's a beauty Curt. Keep them shades handy on those bright sunny days though. Now you'll have to contend with the chrome flashes as well as the sun blinding you. Now, do you keep the shiny side up......or down......

Lookin' good bud!!

Re: Sig "HOG-WILD" Hog Bipe

Good to see it finished Curt, now all you need is a pilot. I will check my plans and pm you the throws and cg. Then take it out and fly the crap out of it.

Yes Trav... I will need those to finish setting her up.

I still have to do a little work on the center cabanes as they are still bent a little. I noticed that after the top wing went on, but I wanted to get the pics done, so I will straighten and square them up after the wings are off again. Other than that, she is close. Still have to run a tank or two through the motor yet too. I hope she hauls the Hog around good.

Cheers
