Would be the Hi needle.

After you get it to run proper full throttle, go through the Lo and Hi setting again...

Darrell, as the "Doc" say's. But always nice to know at what point your needles were to start with. Example, 1-1/2 turns out, etc.
I will look for a basic tuning for gas engines thread for you.

Re: dle 55

A copy/paste from Flying Giants.

The low affects ALL throttle settings as the fuel passes through the low jet even at full throttle.
agreed do a search on this as there are many different ways. the high is not set by trial and error, but on getting the correct fuel flow so as the engine runs right.

this is what i use mostly.
open both needles to 1 3/4 turns
start engine and warm up to 100deg C minimum, its going to take 1 - 2 minutes to get there.
open and close throttle up to half throttle, if it splutters and increases rpm - it need to be leaned.
if it just dies - its too lean already and will need richening. ( if you have opened the needles to 1 3/4 it will need leaning)
keep leaning low needle till it loses transition and dies, at this point you are too lean, now richen it up and check again. do this a few times if need be to find the sweet spot. once you have a good idle and good transition, then go to the high. now open to max throttle and adjust high for best rpm. thats it.
once you have it set if you adjust the low needle you will have to again do the high, as the low affects high settings. Lean the low - richen the high and vice versa.
remember as the engine runs in over the first 20 or so flights it will start to run richer and you will need to slowly lean it more.

thats how i do the first runs, then there is more to tweaking some carbs than others. do that google search and do a lot of reading, then get to work on a carb and start tuning - the only way to learn is to actually do it.

Remember warm your engine up well. And don't be afraid to play with it if you are fairly new to gassers. Once set-up and happy (broke-in), you will not need to adjust it unless something changes. Location (elevation), Fuel, or dirt!
Hope this helps.
