I'm building one now, it's a great kit, and there's a ton of great paint schemes for them, so sky's the limit. Highly recommend to anyone, and they perform super on floats.

looks in the photo like there is a radial cowel in the box, it is a Turbo Beaver?

Nope - look closer - thats the fiberglass turbo cowl - you can see the chin if you look real close. Its NIB.

There's a lot of good info out there for improving the kit, and making it more scale, not to mention a whole lot of really cool colour schemes. Once I get a little further into the detailing, I'll post a couple of pics of mine, it's a Canadian privately owned Turbo Beaver with native graphics, in red and black on a white base. Really sharp looking. It's a full amphib, with retracts in the floats, so hoping to duplicate that as well.
