Re: DJI Naza Hexa

What is the most improvement compared to the quadcopter?

I can lift more with the hexa as compared to the quad. Its only 400g's heavier so I can add mahs to expand my range. I'm using the live feed out of the gopro2.

Re: DJI Naza Hexa

Yes, but this is where i'm confused, you have twice the power to lift but you draw twice the power of a quad, so you need to carry twice the battery power..It's not like 4 penny for a dollar??

I have 50% more power, just two more motors then the quad. I'm drawing 17a in a hover with the quad(1700g's, 3300 4s bat)) and the hexa draws 20a in a hover(2100g's, 4s 4900bat). True, if you go higher in capcity, your adding weight and increasing amp draw. Somewhere there will be a happy medium between weight and amp draw. I have a wide variety of bats to try. Small trips at first and then a try at 5km. I'll find the right combo first.
