I just opened my new digiytal hi-tec servo's and noticed that the wires are twisted, is there a reason for this? should i be using special extensions or will normal ones work, i also thought about skipping the extensions and just soldering longer wires on. Thanks for any help

For the Digitals I suggest using a better quality (heavier wire) extension such as the Expert electronics HD, or the JR gold series HD wires. They draw more current and there will be less voltage drop over the extension with a heavier wire.

I often solder in wire to make my servo wires longer, but you are voiding the warranty. I like to do that when the wires/servos are burried in a wing or something similar.

Twisted wires reduce the chance of picking up and transmitting spurious signals from the servo wires, say when they are running next to other wiring, antenna, etc.
