Re: 2 Webra versions

Dale Hunter tells me that he had 2 of the geared Webra's that were stolen along with a lot of other stuff many years ago. A club member here bought 2 at the auction about 6 or 8 years later, one was complete & one disassembled - could have been Dale's but how do you tell!

Hmmmm! I wonder if he still has them... I must ask!

Beautiful engines Bill! Makes me wish I still had my 61 Speed. I still have a .91 Speed but its hard to find a vintage pattern ship to mate it up with!

Bill, the carb is rotated 90* to reverse the rotation of the crankshaft. Making the prop hub spin the same as what is normal Clockwise. (Here goes a new discussion!)

-Dale-
I actually had 3 at one time, looking for the forth when they were stolen.

Re: 2 Webra versions

Bill, I will pass. Being a Grandpa and all.
I do have a set of plans, and parts for a Heinkeil 51 that shows the gear reduction as a power system. (point of interest)

Re: 2 Webra versions

No this ones not geared Dale, just a regular engine on pipe. It's a scary engine to hear run.
The last time I ran it I had a buddy over, I bent over to fine tune the engine and when I looked back up he was backing out the driveway.
I called him later to say what's up and he said he couldn't stand the noise of the pipe and had to clear out fast.
I laughed like hell! lol

Re: 2 Webra versions

Just a few photos to bring back the memories for ya Dale. I'm not sure if I'm going to sell it anyway, I seem to have trouble letting things go that sound this cool!
