I have a scratch built Ultra Sport 60 (RC Modeler Magazine plans) with a new K &B .61 Nitro engine. Patterns Templates and plans included.
It's ready and waiting for "Your" radio receiver, batteries and servos.
I'm selling it for a friends family. He never had the opportunity to fly it. I can't fly for other reasons .
I posted the high asking price in the form so I could change the asking price if necessary in the body. Asking $300.00 I know what he put into this plane.
Contact me if interested , Shipping is out of the question as it is too awkward and bulky to package and rates would be cost prohibitive.

Re: Scratch Built Ultra Sport 60

Pete, if it's just the airframe and motor, your looking at $150. This is based on what i have seen and bought at the swaps. If it has retracts, that would be a good thing, but I don't think it would make the price much more.

That's my thoughts, I may be wrong, hopefully others will reply as well.

Re: Scratch Built Ultra Sport 60

been biting my tongue for a bit but a couple weeks back I bought an Ultrasport 60 from the hobby shop in Regina. It is fully built, fabric covered and doped to a high gloss finish. has an OS 61 in it with aluminum spinner and decent mechanical retracts. plane didn't look as it has ever flown but a bit of hanger rash... Just for you to compare, I paid $200. seems to be close to were the market is on these... flys great.

I agree, I think $200 is the high end of the scale. It appears to be a nicely finished, but one will never get their labour back.

Re: Scratch Built Ultra Sport 60

Well I've done a little more research and the motor alone sells for ~$165.00 US, and ultra sport 60 goes for ~$150.00 US, The motor is new never run. the plane has never flown. I'd like to see $275. when all is done.

Re: Scratch Built Ultra Sport 60

I sympathize with you Pete, unfortunately, dollar amounts for the items that are with the plane never seem to play into what it's worth. The ultrasport is an exceptional design, and you will have to go a long ways to find anyone with a negative comment about them.

Does the plane have retractable landing gear? That would make it more attractive.

I'm thinking about it...

Re: Scratch Built Ultra Sport 60

Unfortunately it does not have retracts, it certainly streamlines the plane !!!
