Re: mCPX throttle issues
the mcpx v2 is a under powered heli. if you mean you are giving it full collective pitch, then the main rotor will slow down. the tail motor will see full and speed up, thus causing the spin. the trick is to try to keep the head speed up. the motors are not the best and the tail motor could also be dying causing the spin

Re: mCPX throttle issues
So maybe pitch or throttle curve not adjusted correctly?

Re: mCPX throttle issues
not really. if you fly at 100% throttle curve and give the heli full pitch it will spin on you. you just have to learn how to only give so much pitch then get back to middle stick to keep the head speed up. i call it collective management and that heli is the perfect trainer. it will really help your skills in the long run

Re: mCPX throttle issues
I found with the mcpx you need good collective management to avoid tail blow outs.

Re: mCPX throttle issues
Tail output is a function of gyro sensing torque, not so much throttle output "seen"
Also, this is a motor driven tail, which means RPM is the only controlling factor in keeping your heli pointed in the same direction in a hover, or making the nose turn left or right. FAST SPIN = high trust to overcome torque and move the nose right MOTOR OFF (or very low RPM) to allow the main rotor torque to turn the nose left. This is why motor driven tails suck for some 3D maneuvers, because if you want to pirouette left, the only force driving the nose left is the torque of the main blades. When fliers can no longer control the nose of their motor driven tail, it always means the nose pirouettes left, indicating that either:
Solutions: 1) make sure the main rotor and bearings are free from grit, wound hair or dust around the axles and bearings, as well as maybe adding a smidge of light oil to lubricate the axle/bearings 2) replace the tail motor
