Today I got my beveling done the way Trevor and Lee did with the band saw. I tacked the balsa to some 1x2.25" poplar with care and ran it through the band saw. With great results.

On Monday I got the beveling stock all glued and the hinging done along with the duration boxes cut out. All I have to do is trim and sand the ailerons and the wings can be covered.I'm leaving for Cuba tonight for a week so I've been busy getting ready so I haven't gotten as far as I'd hoped.I guess construction will continue next week.

Yeah just ask any of the guys building full size homebuilts like an RV7 or RV8 and they will tell you they will leave MOST of the plane in natural AL as just a simple one colour paint job can run a minimum of $10,000.00!

It's been a week or more since my last post.It sure doesn't take long to get to the 2nd page lately!! Anyway I got home late Thurs night and had to get caught up on some work and house stuff. Then went indoor flying with Trevor,Jim and a few others Saturday night so today I spent most of the day finishing of the ailerons and realized I still had to cut them in half like Trevor did,so that will likely be tomorrow.After that hopefully I can get to the covering.Boy its the little fiddly things that take time.
