I have always went with the used is usually half price of new especially if 1 yr old. If a guy can provide a receipt and it is in fact really new then that is a different story. I usually sell something used for half unless it is something that I have just bought and it is not what I expected it to be, but still never sell for new price. But then again I am one of the honest ones. LOL . Same goes for the sims, they sell used for dam near new price.

Re: Spektrum DX7

I'm a guy who aim for 50% on used stuff, but the DX7 is definitively a strange thing as it doesn't seem to work for it. I was expecting the used price to drop like a rock when the DX8 came out since people were upgrading, but that didn't happen either.

FYI: The heli version also has the switches labelled differently*. (Ex.; Throttle hold instead of gear)

Re: Spektrum DX7

Just buy a new one, the other ones you are listing are certainly not deals, and no warranty.
You should pay no more than 50% of the cost of new for anything used. Good rule of thumb. Sorry to say that for all you sellers, but its a proper and fair market value.

Re: Spektrum DX7

Just bought a used DX7 to stand in till they fix the problems with my DX8. Shouldn't have sold my old one. DX8 sits on the shelf.

Hi; decided to get my 2 cents worth in here. What made you decide on the Specktrum brand ? Advertising or ? Have you considered the Airtronics RDS8000 and 8 channel receiver and you can use with any brand of servos if you have already. The Airtronics DOES NOT have any binding issues that the above system appears to have . Bind once and fly , fly, and fly some more. Peter Hill ; advertiser here on RCCANADA I think is selling them for $180 including HST. Brand new and full warrantte . Check it out.

Re: Spektrum DX7

Only binding problem is with the new DX8 and the BNF planes. I bought the DX7 when they came out new and never had so much as a glitch all the time I had it. The reason they hold their value is they are a very trouble free radio. I see the trans. sells alone at Great Hobbies for a $100.00 bucks.

Re: Spektrum DX7

One other thing to think about: The DX7se WON'T WORK with Phoenix flight sim, in case you had that in mind. The regular DX7 does, which is why I went with it, and so far am very happy with the radio and the battery life. I've been using it for Phoenix several times a week, for my Supercub, and everything else (although VERY limited flight time outside the sim; that's changed since I got the Blade 120SR); charged it before Christmas, just had to recharge 2 days ago.

Seems like there a few differences version the regular DX7. I mentioned earlier that Spektrum will not be offering a DSMX upgrade for the SE either. Another reason perhaps to avoid it.
