Intermediate Sequence
OK, so Max and I have been having a ball flying electric f3a pattern but we've got bored with Sportsman (even though I still suck flying it) and have been doing Intermediate which we find way more fun. But we have a question.
The sequence calls for Takeoff and then a Reverse Cuban 8 as the next maneuver, followed by a Humpty Bump turnaround. So the only way to do both the Takeoff and the Cuban upwind (which is what is called for) is to do the takeoff and then pull into the 45, roll, and do your reverse Cuban ending up going upwind and then pulling for the Humpty Bump and turning around and now coming downwind. But the slideshow that you can see on the MAAC website shows the Reverse Cuban at show center. So how the heck do you Takeoff and while still continuing upwind do a Reverse Cuban at show center? The only way we can see to do that is to do a REALLY big Reverse Cuban... Any comments on this would be gratefully received. Thanks, CFB (and Max)

Re: Intermediate Sequence
Do a turn around of your choice after takeoff usually a procedure turn now your going downwind. This is your dead/trim pass. Do a turnaround again setting yourself up for your line, now going upwind. Start your first maneuver.

Re: Intermediate Sequence
Thanks Mike. Would have been nice if MAAC had an Enter/Exit line after takeoff. Then it would have been obvious. Also, given that the Intermediate uses turnarounds for both ends of the box with no Straight Flight segments, I am surprised that they allow for a dead/trim pass. But appreciate the reply. Sure makes more sense now.
