Looking for F9f Panther paint info

Hello,

I'm in the process of building the F9F-3KD Panther target drone. I obtained a plastic kit made by company called HAWK.

I was hoping for some good scale info but no luck. Does anyone know what colors were used on these types of aircraft.

Also I'm trying to locate a book called "official monogram US NAVY & Marine corps aircraft color guide vol 3 1950 to 1959 by John m Elliott "

I tried a few searches with no luck. Any idea where I can get this book?

Peter, you need to find a man by the name of David Galvin. He is a walking encylopedia of aircraft history. I'll bet he can help, or point you in the right direction. He hangs around on the HangerFlying forum
