Hey Ramz,

Windows comes with MovieMaker for your video editing. It's pretty basic but works. Pm me about the digital picture editor, I've got something you can use.

I also recommend windows movie maker. very easy to use once you get the hang of it. Make sure that you have Windows Movie Maker 2 though, the original isnt all that great. You can download it from the microsoft site.

.

well I checked out the Windows Movie Maker and it won't open any quicktime files (.MOV) Unfortunately my camera will not record movies in a WMV format. Is there any programs out there that will let you change the format from .mov to .wmv? Thanks.

Several home video editing software providers have demos of their tools. Try that route.

Ulead and Pinnacle are popular and I believe there are demos for download (this is video editing).

http://www.ulead.com/
http://www.pinnaclesys.com/

I have used both and both are good.

I can't help you for image editing as I have always used the full version of Photoshop. Adobe has a demo you could play with.

ah, wasn't sure if you were using a digital video camera for the movies or a digital that records short clips. I'm lucky, I have a Mac and a PC so I use iMovie for editing all my stuff or Final Cut Pro. If all else fails, buy the latest version of Quicktime Pro and you'll be able to edit them with it.
