My recommendation is to look at BME, there is a dealer in Vancouver (I think). Shipping a Wild Hare to Canada is about $180 plus taxes & brokage fees, ask me I know. Unless you can go across the border and pick it up yourself. I do have the WH Edge 540 V2 and I love it just if you are trying to save a penny that's my recommendation, I hate paying all the extra shipping, taxes and brokage and getting nothing. Check them both out and compare.

Also there are some good lower cost engines available like DL-50 or 3MM TOC-53.

Another thing if you are going from park flyer to 25%, you might want to consider a step in between for a beater plane. Like the old saying goes the bigger they are the harder they fall (and cost more). And cheap out on your setup, us good quality hardware, servo and power system. Again the bigger they are the harder they fall.

Good Luck

DL50 Engine $369.99
Wildhare edge 540 Under $600 (Ask your local hobby shop)
Hitec 5955 for ruder $95
Hitec 5645 $50 X 4 = $200
or 5985 $75 x 4 = $300
Hitec 5945 discontinued
Batteries for ignition and receiver.

If you have your radio and receiver ready, the total will be under $2000.
