I remember an article in Hot Rod Magazine in the early to mid 80's on his 1/4 scale V8 engine.

Is this the same guy that is at the Toledo show every year with the V8 and V twin engines? Sounds just like the full sized boys when he reves them up! They are some piece of work for sure!

That's him Gary. Two years ago I was hanging around his display, I used to build some serious street rods. anyway he had a weak moment and fired up the V8. Unbelievable. I'm not sure if it was him too, but there was a 1/4 scale harley knucklehead that got fired up too. WOW.

At the Toronto Hobby show about 3 or 4 years ago, a guy had a 1/4 scale Gnome Rotary he had scratch built. Fired it up with about a 24" wood prop on it. Amazing. The show people put a stop to it, for the obvious reasons, I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time.

I' got a bottle of Scotch that is gradually getting here (apparently, the LCBO requires bilingual labels on all bottles brought into Ontario commercially..... so it's in a warehouse in Montreal waiting for the labels to be printed and put on to the bottles.)

It's a fairly rare Scotch from a specialist distiller -- spends its last years before being bottled sitting in a sherry cask.

Probaly the last case that will be produced and here's the crunch -- do I enjoy it now or stick it away and sell it for 10 times the original price in ten years?

I wa sthe same way with my Dinky toys -- played them and never kept the boxes or anything. Anyone remember Norm Harris (ZE ZOne ZD)? He had a massive Dinky toy collection with boxes!

Short term fun or long-term gain?
