A 3DHS 92" Edge, they look like fun
I'm hoping they are because I had a 104" EF Extra nib I wasn't using and for some reason sold it and got this

Paul, I imagine it will be noticeably lighter than the GP61 which seems to be the engine of choice for most.
On a pipe? You would get an atta-boy for that.

Yes I will use a pipe. I learn a lot of questionable habits here. I got an ES Carbon Fibre pipe for it. Just need the header now, most other components on hand waiting for the airframe.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Thanks Dale, that was my plan. I hate to get disappointed by something that could have been better to begin with.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I'm of the opinion that the later ZDZ RV-J series motors are very user friendly to pipe installations. My ZDZ 90 RV-J is so smooth. Makes me really look forward to this springs ZDZ 160, on RE3's. JUST LIKE ANDY.
Trevor is a wealth of experience in anything pipe. But couldn't do it with out his entourage. (what we call the circle)

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Dale,
Agree 100% Trevor is a great resource and very personable fellow. Watching his VW Edge peaked my interest in ZDZ engines. I have developed a great interest in trying their rotary valve intake. Especially for a more linear throttle response. Keen to hear any ZDZ experiences you may share.
I'm a little new to gas although I have some (DA, EME, DL and DLE) but mostly fly electric.
