700E, heavy & lots of gear train noise, what do you feel is special about it?

The electric Vibe SG is due out this summer. Check that one out Mike. I'm seriously considering spending my pennies on that.

Pretty bird.

Tried to google it but found no info other than SG stands for Scott Gray Remember the first time I saw him fly 16/17 years ago

They had it on display at Toledo with a summer release date. I'll post a link if I can find anything. I fear the electrics for helicopters are going to mostly take over the nitro market sooner than later. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just different. Perhaps the gas engines will fill the gap in between. Either way, the change is in the air. It will be interesting to see the ratios of nitro vs. electric at this year's US Nats etc.

Anyhow, the TRex 700E should be a good machine. Align has done well to keep their customers happy given the knockoff options flooding the market. It would seem they've taken over the mainstream and all but made Thunder Tiger a forgotten name.

Good question. Although you didn't ask me, can I please offer my perspective?

Certainly a large part is a degree of brand loyalty based on experience.

I've flown Aligns for a long while (since the 450X) and started with them due to the price point (overalll startup) compared to other options. I now have a Trex 250 and Trex 500 and really like the way they fly. I had a Raptor 50V2 and just didn't like the way it flew despite being set up perfectly (verfied by Colin and Stephen Bell).

I'm not willing or able to spend the extra money to experiment/gamble and so I go with what I know. Until I get to fly something better, I am so far happy with my Aligns and the value they provide.

It should fly consistently with the other recent Aligns, just with the superior flight characteristics of the larger size. It's a pretty safe bet that it'll provide good value.

How will it compare weight wise to the Logo 600 or other similar FBL options? (Specifics please, apples to apples if possible)
