Well, I thought this was a simple ARF, so I charged a flat-fee... works out to about $3.25/hour for this project, but it was an invaluable learning experience!!

Slawo got a good deal and I learned alot - Win Win!!!!!

Slawo stopped in Friday night to check out the progress and the near-finished product.

A little upgrade was to finish the cockpit - a great idea IMO!!!!

Here's the start of it! - This will be finished, primed and then stone painted and should look pretty nice when done!

I really like the 3W dashpanel!!! Fits perfectly!!!

The inside of the cockpit is complete!!

Tomorrow, I'll mount the pilot and get the canopy on!

Re: BBT Assembly Thread - 35% 3W Extra 330 (Stage 3)

Getting closer to being all together!!

This morning, I got the pilot baseplate made up and glued in. You'll notice a hole in the baseplate - there's now a blind nut in there and the pilot is held onto the cockpit floor with a 6-32 bolt.

Tonight I will attach the canopy onto the hatch (the plans call for 105 little screws), seal the hinge-lines and finish radio set-up.

Tomorrow or Wednesday, I'll test the motor and smoke!!!

Slawo will be coming to get it Thursday!!

LOL!!! No, not Elvis, but there is a slight resemblance!!

The pilot is "Bob" from www.litepilots.com!! This is the lightweight, fiberglass version - the expensive one!
