I wish I could find a 26 x 8 somewhere to try on this set up.

Re: DA-70 and Plane Bender Smooth Pipes

Very nice Brad!! Love the sound!!

I knew you would like it. Mine is very smooth and electric like transition. Yours looks to be no different!!

Mine is on a wye header and RE2, although it doesn't exhibit numbers as good as yours because I can't shorten the header anymore, it runs and sounds fantastic. I can't get over the way these 70's transition.

I have the 3W-56 and DA 70 twins, I will never entertain another 60cc single....Just a little Beaverlodge Hype!!

Yeah Jack,

I don't want to sound hype ish. ...
But the motor is smooth. The hub didn't move a centimeter on the stand.
And we have seen some engines move and shake a lot on there.

Also this particular motor is the easiest to start motor I have ever owned.
Don't know if all the da 70's are the same. But I have had 3 different DA'S, 4 different zdz's and dle and gp and Mt. .

Re: DA-70 and Plane Bender Smooth Pipes

Ya Brad!! Some say the stand can't be a gauge of vibes, but we've seen our share of vibe issues on the stand that always show big time on the airframes!! I noticed how smooth the hub was in the video!! It will be a very impressive motor on an airframe!!!

And another Kudos to Dave at Planebender.... Massive gains from all his pipes and yet he's so far been able to preserve the midrange throttle smoothness!!
