Well this is the year. I've got my plane and the resolve to compete. I picked up a 3w140 for the Yak. The only problem is that it would take too much work to get the cans to fit. So, I'm in need of a set of mufflers. I'm hoping someone can help me out. Anything kicking around?

Glad to hear you're going to fly with us SA guys!

To the best of my knowledge, the 140 has not been manufactured for a few years. Finding a new or used set of stock mufflers for it could be quite a challenge.

My advice would be to make the extra effort and go with canister mufflers. You will be glad you did! From my experience, almost every plane on the SA circuit with an engine over 80 cc, is now using canisters. They are MUCH quieter and in some cases actually boost power slightly. Your ears will thank you for doing it, and so will everyone elses.
