Great club, great members, excellent runway and location. Big pit area and infield for trailers, camping, etc. Only about 10 minutes to the nearest hotels in Sudbury.
First imac event for the club, cant wait to see the pits and infield full of planes, trailers and pilots!

But seriously check out Ron Graham's article on A123s on the IMAC site in the NC Region.
His article is the reason I'm considering the switch to A123s

Frank old field was north west of Sudbury in Azilda. New field is on the east end of Sudbury about 10k from the Sudbury airport.

http://smac1964.wixsite.com/smac-website/residential

When you come into Sudbury you are going to have to jump on the 17 East and skirt underneath Sudbury.

I think closest hotel will be the Comfort Inn East in Sudbury but Brendan, Hugh or Lee would no better.

Guys the map to the SMAC Club is incorrect on the MAAC Website. If yo click on "view larger map" it takes to a larger map but when expand it out on Google Maps it is locating the field North East of North Bay. I think the Lat & Long is incorrectly.

Well no water close by so I'll be attending the NOIC once again!

gps location of field. This can also be found on our facebook page. this link gets you field locations from all over, its pretty cool! in the search just enter the club name, and the map should come up showing the location of various airfields and gps locations.

Re: N.O.I.C. July 29/30, 2017

Great day at the gym flying foamies today. A wonderful way to practice for the upcoming IMAC season! Practiced doing single rollers in and out with the foamie. Working on developing muscle memory so I don't have to think my way through this difficult manoever. Much better smacking a foamie than my PRO😜

Jason,

Did you see my comment about the map co-ordinates being incorrect on the MAAC website? Might want to have your executive look into that or I can contact Col.Mustard and see if he can get it corrected but I think it has to come from your club executive.

Lee, Glad to see you poked your head out of your Studio and did some indoor. What are you flying for indoor?

Re: N.O.I.C. July 29/30, 2017

Hey Jim, yes it felt good to flex the old flying fingers! I'm flying one of Gaston's latest designs but I modified the wing (more aileron with less wing) and have one servo per aileron for better resolution. Rolls like a banshee on high rate🤓

I'll try to get somevidoes next time I go out. Brendan and I are very excited for the upcoming year. Unfortunately can't make Ocala with Ivan and the boys this year, Kathy and I will be in Phoenix for the month of March checking out the art scene, golfing and exploring Arizona. Life is good😎
