Wonder if it would be better to be a big once a year thing??

I told the US guys that there are two main issues for us. Weather, a ton of rain and no practice means that most of us are like a month behind. Also the Can / US dollar makes these cross border trips very expensive.

Should have seen me in Saranac. Against any common sense or better judgement I decided to fly Advanced because I don't care about the competition aspect anymore. Well after 6 practice flights at home and never flying most of the maneuvers it looked more like a freestyle routine. Kept the judges guessing what maneuver I was on. But what the heck we had fun and laughs anyway.

A lot of the US guys were in exactly the same situation because the weather in Michigan and Ohio has not been much better than ours.

Well, at this contest you can show me how it's done 'cause this'll be my first kick at the Advanced can, so to speak. If nothing else, should be good for a laugh

That said, I'm looking forward to my first time at the Woodstock contest!

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave - I won't be able to make Woodstock due to another commitment but go for it and have fun. Maneuver 3 reverse half cuban with 4 point entry and then exit with the half snap opposite 8 point roll is a killer and then into maneuver 4 a 270 roller that I can only fly well with my eyes closed is also a lot of fun.

Re: 2017 WRCFC IMAC contest

Darn! Here I go again, my motor on the plane won't run worth a @#$%. Same thing that happened last year. At least it let me get some practice flights in.

But this year I don't care, I am still going to be there even if I have to fly a small electric plane!!!

My new IMAC number, 7828. So I am going to use it!!!!

Come down early Friday and bring it with you. Lots of experienced guys that would be happy to lend a hand. I'm going to have the field open by 8:30.

That's good advice from Steve - Rick take your plane down and let them help you. This is what IMAC is about.

Sorry I will miss it - will be in Houston doing work related stuff.
