Hey David: A really 'fancy' fix is to install ball bearings with shoulders on either side of each wheel. You can get them at your LHS where the r/c car parts hide.
Several guys do that here. No wobble, no squeaks....no more snarky comments!
You need to drill out the hub to suit the bearing od, and that's about it.

Of course, plan B is take em off and use that 'other' new pair...

Re: Wheels and axles

Gary, you are the second person today to suggest that.
Must be something to it.

Re: Wheels and axles

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't graphite eat away at the plastic in the wheels as it is an abrasive.

Bonded to a substrate it may act that way, but doubtful it has the structural strength. In free form I believe it is like walking on shale. Nice and slippery, (dangerous, too, believe me). Only negative is the tendency to promote corrosion in and between certain metals.

Re: Wheels and axles

About a month ago a little Birdy told me AirMan was going out of business and selling off existing stock at Half-Price.

I JUST HAD to Order 10 Sets! LOL!

I am one of the Stetson guy's that upgraded their wheels with flange bearing.
All my large airplane get this upgrade now.

I get my bearing from Boca Bearing.
