Re: Toledo

If you do cross at Windsor you could drop it off with Don at R.M. that's right on the 401 or just mail it, what ever turns your crank.

Re: Toledo

There are two popular options to bypassing the work on I-75. The much longer has you heading north on I-96 for a few minutes, to turn onto I-94 westbound. From there you hit and head south on the I-275 till rejoining I-75 south again.

I took this route a few years ago, cannot remember why, but it doubled the time and distance from the border to the Seagate center.

There is a local route I am exploring and hope to use on what I believe is Fort Street. However, I am not the only one and this is going to be during morning rush hour. ACK!!!!

Re: Toledo

Not going to Toledo this year. This year will mark the first in almost fifteen consecutive that my son and I don't attend. Unfortunately, we've noticed a marked decline in historic, or well known vendors, particularly, the type of vendors that we're looking for; those that we've come to know and love. For us the show just isn't what it used to be and the luster has gradually tarnished. ETOC was one of the events that we always looked forward to, as well as the Saturday auction. But ETOC is now history and the auction is less an auction than a venue to sell used aircraft (and only if the seller is happy with the bid, otherwise the item is "pulled" off the block). We'll take a break for a year or two and maybe go again in the future...a break might do us some good

Re: Toledo

Crossing at Port Huron, I 94S > 696W > 275S > 75S, looks like it adds about 30 km.

Re: Toledo

About a dozen of us from Cobble go every year.
Seven of us go in one vehicle from Thursday night to Sun,
We do the show Friday and Saturday and then drive to Dayton on Sunday to the Air Force Museum.
It's become a yearly road trip for us for the past 4 or 5 years.

Ah, absolutely love the Air Force Museum. We normally did the reverse...drive to Dayton on Wednesday, see the museum Thursday, drive back to Toledo to attend the show on Friday and Saturday...home on Sunday

Normally did that every second or third Toledo trip. Missed out on the new hanger last year, that only opened in June or July.

Re: Toledo

Be nice to see the museum again. Last group trip we were told we were renting a coach.......till a school bus showed up. Just think what 14 hours in one of those was like!
