If you want to see how they go together I have a build thread over in the Giant Scale section.
Hey Gordon,

Any particular reason for the MX2 over their Extra 300?

Not many 35% kits left out there. I think J'TEC are the only ones. Oh there is the 35% Dalton 260 but the JTEC planes look nicer.

Re: So if one were looking for a present day IMAC plane...

Hi Jim, The Jtec Radiowave MX2's are fairly new designs which have proven to be great flying planes, placing well at some the big contests etc. A friend here in Calgary is building one of the big versions and I might follow suit this winter. I love my Dalton Extra 300 ML but it is getting a little long in the tooth!

A little blurb from JTEC's site: "JTEC would like to Thank and Congratulate both Jason Shulman and Aaron "Bones" Garle on an incedible showing with the 3.1m Radiowave MX2 at the Clover Creek Invitational. Jason placed 1st in the Unlimited Class and Bones finished 5th in Unlimited."

For engines EME120 would be my 3rd choice after DA/GP. They run great & support is good.

Hey Andrew nice to see you making moves back to IMAC! You have to come to our NOIC contest July 29-30! It will be a blast with lots of emphasis on fun and much coddling for Basic class and those coming back! We already have 11 pilots registered and hoping for at least twenty!

I dont know if I can.. I sold my IMAC plane a few years ago and have yet to replace it. But the big thing is having a wife who works every second weekend, and having a 6 yr old and 2 1/2 yr old and no family to help up here.

Im going to the Sault late June for the zone fly - not sure if I can attend anything else this summer... but planning to (hoping) things will improve in the next few years.

Big thing is buying or building another IMAC plane. I'd like something in the 100cc size again, not too big to store/haul around but not too small either. I have a nice 3/4 ton Sierra crew cab with an 8 foot box now, so Ideally I'd like it to fit in the box to avoid having to trailer it.
