Colin, it's 35% 330 midwing 104" span 100cc plane.

The 330 cowl, landing gear, canopy and elevators are different than the 260.

The wing placement is also lower on a 330 but Dennis has two versions in which the midwing model brings the wing up to fly more neutral like the 260.

Re: BBT/WINGBURNER --> 4 REDHEADS and a CARDEN

The other option Jack and I analyzed (to death, I might add!!) was an ultralight 40% Extra 260 (the 118" version) for the mini-quad, but the thought was that I'd only be able to get it to around 32 lbs.

There would be nothing wrong with that weight for the 112cc quad, but the extra drag of the 40% does cause the plane to fly slower than normal and coupled with the 32lbs, it was thought that it might not suit Jack's flying style (picture those high-speed fly-bys)

I really think this is the perfect combo!!! I can't imagine what a treat it will be to see such a sweet motor running (picture 0 vibrations!!) on a lightened 35% airframe!!!!

Can you say - extreme throttle management!!!

Perfect choice Jack!!

Well, Dennis and Caroline are on a well deserved vacation, and will be back on Monday and hope to get it in UPS by mid next week.

They emailed me this AM and confirmed that one Extra 330 with the Mid Wing Option is reserved for us!! They also confirmed that this 330 kit has the light foam and new, ultra-white wood

I'm not sure if you guys realize how excited I am!
I will be starting on my 330 as soon as my header tubes show up in the mail.

Trevor, if you need some inspiration, I have a thumb drive with a tonne of pictures I can mail to you... I think I have memorized them all by now. Thanks again.

Nick

Great news Nick!! We'll work together on the E330s then!! Should be fun!!

I'm not sure how much you had planned to lighten on yours, but this one will steal many of the details from my Ultralight 40% Ferrari Edge!!

Cheers

Trev

LOL..I just leave them all in the trailer, make sure they're all charged and decide once I get to the field.

You're one to talk, you generally have quite a selection.
