Trev,

Trev,

I tried calling your house around 2PM but no answer. I was just pulling out of Napanee after having some lunch on my way back to home.

Pulled in around 5PM and missed that call to, dang blue tooth devices.U

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm so now I guess you are going to have to get a second MOKI for the Air Tractor since a little birdy told me the DA100L is no longer in your possession.

Wow Trev, that Moki gets a 10 for realism. You know that you will never be able to take it out of that plane. Whatever your plans were for that engine, you’re going to just have to buy another one.

Hey Dave!!! I have an AMR Airtractor for the Moki that I plan to build this winter, so it'll be a tough decision between the CompARF and the Airtractor!!

At least I'll have a backup

That motor is soooo sweet!!!

I am not quite as fast a builder as you are Trev, so here is where I am on my Yak. I chose the white version and plan on doing a paint job. Your build thread is a great motivation.

Awesome Dave!!!

The white is a great idea.. Please keep posting progress!!

At first I wasn't terribly impressed with the flight characteristics with the DA100L. I then moved the CG back so it flew neutral in either orientation and it literally came alive! It is an incredible airframe and can be either smooth and stable or it will 3D very, very well! It makes one feel very confident!! I've never seen a plane change so drastically with a CG change!!

What motor are you putting in it??

Trev

Re: BBT 2.6m CompArf Yak55 / Back to a MOKI 150 Now Build Thread

I am a strong supporter of DA, but with their price being almost $500 more, I chose the DLE 111 with canisters for this one. I really like quiet planes, so after break in on a lighter loaded2 blade, I have a 3 blade to also keep things quiet.

I am currently working on the canopy frame, and so far this has proved to be a lot more time consuming than the time that they estimate. Not a problem, but it one of those things that you will not be able to adjust after the fact. So far I am blown away by the quality of the finish and lightness. That cowl ring in itself is amazing and fits like a glove.
