Robart TF Harvard Help.

hi guys,

well i'm in the middle of building an older TF Harvard this winter. i purchased the STRUT conversion kit for the retracts that came with it from the seller.
the struts, new from Robart, are not the same length.?!! what the heck... i thought i was seeing things. i never noticed until now months later that it's different. i've looked these things over and cannot figure out if there is a way to extend it at all. basically the stanchion is longer on one than the other. everthing else is the same, just the silver stanchion tube is different.
hope that can make some sense. i can post a pic if needed.

any ideas out there, pleas? i've cut the hole in the win for the retract to fit, only to find out they are different

thanks

Re: Robart TF Harvard Help.

Have you tried to call or email Robarts, they are a a great bunch of guys there, they will likely just tell you send the struts to them or just send you a replacement one.

I person I allways deal with is Eric.

Re: Robart TF Harvard Help.

Here the phone number for Robart 1-877-584-3400 or 630-584-7676 as I said before, ask for Eric. Sometimes you get a quicker reply with the telephone.

TF Harvard

in the end i resolved the issue by some slight modifications of the strut assembly. i talked with Robart and that's where i got the info from. SO... that is taken care of.
another question though,
i'm just about to work on the control surfaces and servo linkages, etc. and was wondering what others have done to cover the control surfaces. i'm thinking of glassing, then paint the plane itself but the control surfaces will need some fabric,??? and then painted.
any suggestions would be great!
