I watched that clip, then scrolled down to the comments. SOmetimes the comments are funnier than the clips themselves. I was in this exact same situation before I found out about clubs (on a ball diamond though, not a road, I'm not a complete idiot)

Here's one, seemed to be at a field, check out the comments.

I was very surprised at the size of the debris field with the turbine.

funny. It's hillarious to read the posts by people who obviously know nothing about the hobby...lol. I'm gonna guess he just stalled it...it might have been tail heavy too..who knows but i'm guessing it was 99% pilot error.

Probably followed the instructions and used TLAR.

Of course, without the experience of actually having someone check your installation and knowing how to properly take off.

Lessee:
10 Overcontrolled ruddrer on takeoff
2) yanked back on elevator
3) Applied aileron resulting in snap roll along with fully stalled wing.

Great aerobatics when you're 50+ feet up, but a bit deadly at two.....

So, you know of a MAAC sanctioned field with a road throuh the middle AND a walk/bike path where the pilots take off from the crosswalk?!?!?!

Do the pilots have their kids hold the plane until it's at full throttle? We only do that at our field if the plane has no landing gear, and with another experienced pilot.

Maybe he saw a video on the internet of somone flying, though it was a good idea, and ordered the plane from a website the same day.
