Re: Wanted - Plettenberg Xtra-30 EVO or non EVO

Hi Richard,

Here is one for sale,

http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemid=566000

Not sure he will separate the ESC from motor though.

The Evo's are pretty much impossible to get from stock, usually a 1-2 month wait unless you are lucky!

Re: Wanted - Plettenberg Xtra-30 EVO or non EVO

Hi Chad,

Thanks for the information, that is also the speed control that I was looking at as well. I'll get in touch with him tonight.

I was lucky to get a non EVO version from Icare when they were going for $275. It has been a great motor for me with over 90 problem free flights. I love the sound ( or lack there of) with these motors. Lots of power in the verticals as well.

Regards,

Richard

Re: Wanted - Plettenberg Xtra-30 EVO or non EVO

Hopefully it works out for you

Yes, when the Evo's came out the old 30-10's lost appeal and I am not sure they are even making them anymore. I have one here as well but needs bearings and is in pieces

Pletty's are expensive but the best outrunner you can get, I have around 700-800 flights on the prototype 30-10 Evo and its still running fine Diana (one of the owners) asked me to leave it with them in Portugal so they could change the bearings, and I said I will mail it to them in a few years when it really needs it LOL

I am still using the even older Xtra25-13 in my ULtraRc giles, amazing power on a 9lb plane.
