Update: The receiver was tested for few days and the conclusion is that once in a while it will just not work. The lights indicate proper functionality, but it just does not respond to any input.

-- The receiver is now on it's way to HH for replacement under warranty (thanks to Tom from HobbyHobby for the support). It will take about 3 weeks until I get it back, so, for the time being I bought a new AR7010 from HobbyHobby.
-- All servos were replaced with new HiTec servos
-- Receiver battery tested fine under load (discharged 1600mAh from 2cell A123 2200mAh)

Hi

Well ,............. if I remember correctly , Hitec reprogrammed there receivers . I believe that there is a problem with the receivers , but only Hitec came forward with the problem . And I am speaking about all makes , not just youres or mine .

Please keep us informed about it,s performance .

there has been problems with the on/ off switch in the transmitter. to test turn all on and watch the reciever light tap on the front of the trans. see if the light goes out. to fix open up and spray switch with electronic contact cleaner and test or replace trans. switch.
